Description : A tall obelisk at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala, serves as a monumental reminder of sacrifices of many Indian soldiers in the Liberation War of 1971, which resulted in the freedom of Bangladesh from Pakistan. Lance Naik Albert Ekka, PVC was a soldier in the Indian Army. He was killed in action in the Battle of Gangasagar, during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for valour in the face of the enemy, Pakistan. Tripura, India.
