Thousands of protesters stormed the Sri Lankan president's official residence, president's secretariat, prime minister's official residence and set fire to the prime minister's private residence as anger intensified over the country's worst economic crisis in seven decades. People from all over the country gathered at the Galle Face green in protest which went on into the night.
