Description : Colombo, Sri Lanka. 25th June 2022. A pride protest rally to celebrate Pride month was held by the LGBTQ community protesting against the current President and Government of Sri Lanka. The protestors demanded that the President resigns. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Intersex and Queer community came together to gain visibility, social, and self-acceptance, and demand for legal rights of the community. Pride is a celebration of diversity, equality, unity, and freedom. This was the first time a pride protest march was held in Sri Lanka.
