Description : The Paria Peninsula, or Tierra de Gracia (The Land of Grace) as named by Christopher Columbus, is located in the mountainous northern tip of the Eastern Seaboard in the jurisdiction of municipalities Arismendi, Marino and Valdez in Sucre State, Venezuela. It separates the Gulf of Paria and Caribbean Sea. The peninsula has a variety of landscapes, from beaches to mountainous forests, extensive savanna, and also has two national parks -- the National Park of Paria, located across the width of the peninsula, and TuruÈpano National Park in the heart of the delta of Paria.
