Description : A man fills a basket on the back of a woman with sand and stones collected from the bed of Seti River, at Kotre point. Stone collecting is a job for strong men and women. While men brave the strong current with shovels or buckets women stand neck-deep in water with baskets that gets filled with stones. The baskets weigh more than their body weight – 70 to 80 kilograms. When there is a demand for work the daily pay is good.
