Description : Ghuddi Utshob, one of the most popular festivals of the old town in Dhaka, starts in Poush Shonkranti, the first Bengali month of Winter. A big colorful rally starts from the Hosni Dalan with kites having brave displays. A kite flying competition is organized where single and group competitions are held. Folk motif-based kites like dhaush, chong ghuri are mostly seen in the villages all around the country. This festival has a huge appeal among men and children throughout the country.
