Description : Far left - Aqila, 8, and her brothers, weaving a carpet on a traditional loom, at their home, in the village of Ragshad, in the central Bamyan province. Their father works as a daily laborer and the seven children of the family must work up to eight hours a day weaving carpets besides attending school. It takes two months for the family to make a 5 square-meter carpet, worth 800 Afghans, about US . The house has no running water or gas, so the older boys walk two hours every day to collect water from a local stream and firewood from the mountains. Afghanistan.
