Description : A woman and a girl collect polluted water from the Buriganga river, at Ayena ghat, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Thousands of gallons of raw sewage and other water bodies around the city, is dumped regularly into the river, making its water extremely polluted for human consumption and use. However, poor people living on the outskirts of the city have little choice but to use them anyway.
