We are excited to relaunch our website combining our new visual identity (designed by Landor Associates) with improved functionality to make our images and photographers more accessible to professional users. Our image library is designed to help you identify the right image quickly and visitors can view new work by established and emerging photographic talent through regular featured photographer profiles. Our sales team is on hand to help you identify the right photographer for an assignment or image for a publication.

We welcome any feedback on our website and encourage visitors to register to be kept up to date of our newest features, and as a show of support for Majority World and its photographers.


Rencontres Bamako Logo

Majority World at the 9th Bamako Encounters, 1-7 November, 2011

Shahidul Alam, Chairman and International Ambassador, and Marcia Chandra, Photography and Programme Manager, will be attending this year’s Bamako Encounters - African Photography Biennial in Mali. Three Majority World photographers at the Noorderlicht International Photofestival, 11 Sept - 9 Oct, 2011

Abir Abdullah (Bangladesh), Selvaprakash Lakshmanan (India) and Munem Wasif (Bangladesh) are invited photographers to the 2011 Noorderlicht International Photofestival in Groningen, The Netherlands. Their work on urban fires and street photography in Dhaka, and rural migration in India will be featured as part of the main exhibition--Metropolis: City Life in the Urban Age.
